Noah stirred ever so slightly in his sleep, eyes opening slowly he spotted his wife fumbling around in the dark.
“Babe, what are you doing?” He asked, trying not to smirk at the look of terror that flashed across her face when she realized she’d been caught.
She just looked at him for a moment and it was then that he noticed the tears in her eyes. As the confusion set in he sat up, ready to get up and walk over to her. Hermione could be hard to read at times but he knew everything was a lot easier for the two of them when she was wrapped up in his arms.
“I’m sorry Noah.” She said and he watched as she shook her head and tried to blink away the tears that had been welling up in her eyes. “Make sure you take care of yourself too, not just Nathan.”
It was only then that he noticed she was grasping her wand tightly in her hand. He watched her as she raised her wand towards him and he knew it was too late.
“Obliviate.” He heard her say, her voice much calmer than it had been seconds ago.
His eyes widened as he saw a flash white light. His head was a blur for the next moment or so, memories flashing before him briefly before completely disappearing.

Noah stirred ever so slightly, torn between his sleep and conscious state. “I’ll always love you, Noah.” He heard, unable to tell if the voice was part of his dream or not. The voice sounded so real it caused him to sit up immediately. It took him a couple seconds for his eyes to adjust to the dark bedroom and he frowned when he realized he was in fact alone.
Running a hand through his mohawk he stood up from the bed and made his way down the hall to check on Nathan. Though his son rarely ever cried he could hear him crying before he’d even reached the bedroom door of the nursery. “Don’t cry, baby boy, daddy’s here.” He whispered as he picked up his son and cradled him in his arms.
Nathan instantly turned into his chest, his cries turning into faint whimpers as Noah rocked him in his arms. Closing his eyes Noah pressed a soft kiss on his sons forehead before making their way out of the nursery and back to his room. Placing Nathan on his chest he lay back down, envious of the fact that his son managed to fall back asleep almost instantly. As he stared at his son Noah chewed on the inside of his cheek, desperately hoping that his son didn’t feel as alone as he did.
